Stephanie Witwer, PhD, RN, NEA-BC, FAAN has been appointed AAACN’s next President-Elect (2023-2024). She is currently serving in her first year as Director.

Mary Blankson, DNP, APRN, FNP-C, FAAN is currently serving on the Board of Directors and has accepted the opportunity to complete the remaining two years of Stephanie’s Director term.

Cara Spencer, PhD, RN, FNP-BC has been appointed by the Board to a one-year term as Director. Cara is a Research Nurse Scientist at UCHealth in CO.

Na Lim Heo, RN applied for the 2023 Emerging Board Fellow position and was appointed to serve as the 2023 – 2024 Board Fellow. Na Lim works as a Nurse Administrator at Wellstar in GA.

Kimberly Regis, RN, DNP, PNP-BC was elected to serve as Director on the BOD for a three-year term. The BOD is the governing body of AAACN, sets the organization’s strategic direction, ensures resources, and provides oversight.

Kimberly is the VP of Operations, Chief Nurse Executive of Ambulatory at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. A member of AAACN since 2017, Kimberly is currently a co-chair of the DEI Community and has served on the NSI Team, the Leadership SIG Advisory Committee, and was a contributor on the Scope and Standards of Practice of Professional Ambulatory Care Nursing Revision Task Force.

Tia Bell, DNP, RN-BC, CNE has been elected to serve on the Nominating Committee for a two-year term. Tia is an Assistant Dean at the University of Indianapolis in Indiana and a member of AAACN since 2018. Tia was a member of the Academic-Practice Partnership Guidelines Task Force.

Sarah Storhoff, MSN, RN-BC was also elected to serve on the 2023 – 2024 Nominating Committee. Sarah is a Support Leader of Ambulatory Nursing & Clinical Support Services at Seattle Children’s Hospital in Washington. Sarah has been a member of AAACN since 2013 and a member and contributor of the RN Residency Task Force, a member of the Lippincott Procedures Team, an Abstract Reviewer for the 2018 Annual Conference, and a reviewer for the Telephone Triage Online Course Task Force.

The Nominating Committee identifies qualified AAACN members to run for elected offices and oversees the annual election and awards and scholarships processes.
