With Ebola virus preparedness and response efforts still on the minds of many nurses, I write to draw your attention to recently released information about U.S. hospital and health system readiness.

On December 2, the Administration announced an increase in capacity to 35 designated Treatment Centers and 42 laboratories to help cope with Ebola domestically. A fact sheet about this expanded capacity can be found on the White House Website

As you will read, the announcement mentioned efforts to reach out to providers, including nurses, across the country with information about how to stay safe while caring for a patient with Ebola.

Please consider sharing this fact sheet with your colleagues and encourage them to share with others.
