Open and Active Calls for Volunteers

The American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) members are the strength of our association.

Your time, talent, and expertise guide the organization and advance the specialty of ambulatory care nursing. Plus, volunteering has both personal and professional benefits for members as well. Find below open and active calls for volunteers. If you would like to volunteer in a group not listed below, please contact the National Office. 

Selection Process
Volunteers are selected during an open call for volunteers, which happens various times of the year. Members are asked to submit their CV and may need to complete a questionnaire to be considered. All members of volunteer groups are selected by the Chairs with input from the Board Liaison based on their expertise and other factors that contribute to the success of the volunteer group. Volunteers who are not selected are added to a list to be considered for future groups.

Leadership Opportunities
AAACN is committed to developing, supporting, and recognizing volunteer leaders. We encourage volunteers to pursue leadership opportunities and have a defined pathway to serving on the Board. All volunteers are provided administrative support from the National Office and are invited to attend the annual AAACN Leadership Symposium.
