The Ambulatory Care Nursing Certification Exam validates your clinical knowledge and skills in the ambulatory care nursing specialty.
Certification in ambulatory care nursing is available through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a division of the American Nurses Association (ANA). Nurses who pass the exam earn the credential AMB-BC™ (Ambulatory Care Nurse-Board Certified).
The American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) worked with ANCC in 1998 to develop the exam and continues to be involved today through a collaborative agreement with ANCC.
AAACN offers exam study resources and contact hours, but does not administer the exam.
Visit the ANCC Website to learn more about the exam, eligibility criteria, Test Content Outline, renewal and more.
Members of AAACN receive a $100 discount off the exam fee and a $55 discount off the renewal fee.
