AAACN is proud to partner with The DAISY Foundation to present The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses, recognizing ambulatory care nurses who exemplify clinical excellence and compassionate care. This award is inspired by the memory of J. Patrick Barnes, whose family experienced the profound impact of exceptional nursing firsthand.
Nominate an ambulatory care nurse who goes above and beyond for their patients, families, and team and meets the following criteria:
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal relationships through compassion, respect for person, integrity, and professionalism in delivery of care to ambulatory patients and families
- Engages patients and members of the interprofessional team in improving health outcomes that address disparities and social determinants of health
- Delivers person-centered, high quality, safe and effective evidence-based care. Promotes interprofessional collegial working relationships
- Promotes and encourages active participation in AAACN
The award winner will receive a plaque and be recognized at the AAACN 50th Annual Conference in San Diego, May 2025.
The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, February 14.
